My local priorities
Improve our State Highways, to make our communities safer, and our industries more productive. Fight for a reduction in youth entering gangs, to prevent growth in organised crime and drug use. Advocate for farmers and businesses that are too heavily regulated, so our communities can thrive.
Why I’m running
Now, more than ever, New Zealanders need real and relatable representation in Parliament. They need someone in touch with what is going on locally, that has the ability to represent them at a national level. I've always been an advocate, and I know I can make an impact. I'm motivated to make a positive difference in the Napier electorate; a diverse, productive, innovative, and beautiful part of our country. I'm a listener and a learner, and I want to help everyone, from Meeanee to Matawai.
About me
I am a community business person first and foremost. I've been bought up with the National party values of hard work and enterprise, and know that if you allow businesses to thrive, then our communities benefit. I'm a listener, a learner, and a problem solver. I love meeting people, getting to know their issues, and finding a way to help. I'm fuelled by making positive change, and I know that the determination I bring to the table, will give Napier a stronger voice, and get results.

Economy and jobs: the pandemic's impact is yet to be truly felt – all of our citizens need meaningful, secure employment. Families: drugs/health/housing/crime affect whether our families are thriving or surviving. I want to see them thrive. Health: a cancer survivor myself, I've seen the problems in our health sector, we need to better serve New Zealanders.
Why I’m running
I am curious about the world: how it operates, the people in it; about fairness, freedom and democracy. I was asked by respected local leaders if I would stand up for Napier and have sincerely considered those requests. The things that concerned me in our community had already motivated me as an author, but ultimately it is government that writes the rules that control our every day lives. I'd like to be a part of that for the betterment of all New Zealanders and creating meaningful change.
About me
An electorate MP is required to be a generalist, adaptable to any role government gives you. I have professional involvement in trucking and logistics, waste and recycling, farming, tourism and business. I'm an employer and well used to running an office. For 30 years as a volunteer to the Napier community my interest is genuine and those activities cover the arts; education, sports, health as well as supporting our disabled community. I am ready and willing to continue being of service to Napier.

We're leading the way to move Aotearoa towards the clean energy solutions that will power us safely into the future. We're thinking ahead to truly tackle the challenges we face as a community. A guaranteed minimum income of $325 per week for students and people out of work, no matter what.
Why I’m running
For 15 years I have worked in my own business, created jobs to dozens of people and seen what a difference an ethical, compassionate approach can have for people and planet. I believe the Green party has these same aspirations and they have shown me they have a willingness to tackle the tough issues with only eight MPs. They have achieved more for the environment in the past three years than the previous 30 years of governments combined. I am running to see more Green MPs in parliament.
About me
Although I am the Green candidate for Napier I am not seeking your candidate vote. My job, like that of the Green party, is to spark new ideas and discuss any community concerns for the future of our environment, our people and our communities. The Green party has achieved a lot in our first three years in government, but we now need to go further and faster to create a better future for all New Zealanders. Ngā mihi.

My local priorities
Workplace bullying, which of course is a form of mental torment. ACT Party policy on mental health. Roading, the Napier/ Gisborne road, and the Napier/ Hastings expressway. Taking the politics out of infrastructure. Welfare as a hand up not a hand out. Too many adults suffer from chronic welfare dependency.
Why I’m running
I love my country and I love Napier. This current coalition of troublesome parties is dragging our country down. My goal is to restore a sense of integrity, honour and dignity back into the parliament scene. This electorate needs a candidate who has complete empathy for people and who has experienced many of the situations that constituents find are troubling them like, business confidence, money, housing, employment, health, farming, etc.
About me
My interest in politics started while I was working at parliament in the Select Committee Services. I could observe the political process from the inside. I soon saw the difference in those politicians who were just in parliament for their own interests over those genuine politicians. I pledge that if I am honoured by becoming the MP for the Napier electorate, I will not forget who it was who put me in that position. You the voters. Party vote ACT and Judy with a Y, why because we can.
