Rangitata electorate
Rangitata was represented by National's Andrew Falloon, who won comfortably with a margin of 6,331 and has since resigned from Parliament. In 2017, National won the largest share of Rangitata's votes, winning 53% to Labour's 34%. Boundary changes this year mean the electorate now includes an area up to the Rakaia river.

Financial reform that works for kiwis. Economic policy that benefits New Zealand businesses. Better roads for the district to alleviate peak traffic congestion. Why I’m running
I am running because we have had enough social policy change, it's now time for large scale financial reform that works for New Zealanders and New Zealand businesses. I believe we can change the life of every down trodden Kiwi for the better.About me
I was born and raised in the Rangitata district, and I love it here. I have been working with the farming community for 3 years, and before that spent 10 years working in factories saving to buy my first home. My current role brings me into contact with people from all over the district, and there is a major dissatisfaction with the status quo.Party list rank

Good social support so every person in my electorate can have enough to live on, a decent home and a secure future. Reduce the use on farms of chemicals and fossil fuel based products in particular to save our drinking water. Improve public transport, create safe cycle ways and support small community building organisations. Why I’m running
I have rallied for social justice, peace and caring for the environment since I was a teenager so standing for the party that champions all these issues is a natural choice.About me
I have lived and worked in this community for the past 15 years as an aged care nurse. I felt privileged to enter the houses of my aged care community and work with them to find the best support for their independent living. My communication skills, governance experience in various roles and work for the Green party combined with my life experience would all enhance my role as possible MP.Party list rank

Advocate for the community's needs as they arise, it's really important to listen to the community first and foremost. Continue to support local business as we recover from Covid-19. Advocate for infrastructure investment in our area to create meaningful jobs and stimulate our local economy. Why I’m running
I am passionate about education, particularly early childhood education. This government has made some excellent progress in the education space, including building and upgrading more than 1,000 classrooms across the country, and I am really keen to see more work done for the early childhood sector. I'm also passionate about seeing investment in the regions, they missed out a lot until this government came in and I want see continued support for them especially as we recover from Covid-19.About me
I am 100 percent committed to this community, it is my home and I have lived here for over 24 years. I have sent my children to the local schools, I have a business here. I have had experiences in my life that hold me in good stead to represent people from all walks of life, I've been a single parent that struggled financially, having to use the food bank many times, I've studied as an adult and then built and owned my own business. I understand this community and will continue to work hard for it.Party list rank

Do away with the Carbon Tax, emissions trading and the Kyoto Protocol as it will not improve environmental outcomes. Change the way government spends money so that it is not wasted and develop sound economic policies that will work. Focus on exports for all sectors of the economy. Develop mining, use coal and develop environmental solutions. Why I’m running
I want to stop the slide and restore New Zealand back to the prosperous country it once was back in the 60's when there was virtually no unemployment, people grew up in stable families on one income and housing was affordable. There was no racial disharmony, no gangs, no drugs and no teenage suicides. We had a large kiwi owned manufacturing industry, farms were mostly family owned and our governments could successful carry out large infrastructure projects.About me
I grew up on a family farm and began working as a casual musterer mostly in Otago and Northern Southland before spending time in a trotting stable to obtain my own Private Trainer's and Open Horseman's License. While training leased horses I had my own contract fencing business before going on to head shepherd, farm manager, leasing a farm and finally farm ownership in Australia. I also have experience in sales and middle management and hold a real estate agents licence.Party list rank

Advocate for the sending of adult materials to consenting adults only for obvious reasons. Oppose the exploiting of power imbalances in the workplace resulting in scandal, as family is too important for all that. Oppose the over-centralization of government in order to promote community, not beehive involvement in local projects. Why I’m running
Recent developments regarding the now former MP of my electorate made it abundantly clear that the region was ready for a Not A Party candidate to enter the fray.About me
I've pulled pints for half of you, so you know me well enough already, but really all you need to know is that I am completely different from other politicians, they all take themselves so seriously, and there just isn't time for all of that, the lawns probably need a cut.Party list rank
