Advance New Zealand

Jump to a party

The Advance New Zealand Party was recently established by Jami-Lee Ross, former National MP and currently an independent MP for Botany. Ross describes the party as an attempt to represent middle-ground voters. It is particularly focussed on electoral reform and anti-corruption policies. Advance recently joined with the unregistered New Zealand Public Party, whose founder, Billy Te Kahika, has previously claimed that the Covid-19 pandemic was planned by the United Nations, and opposes 5G, 1080, fluoridation of water, and vaccination.

Why I’m running
I am standing for election to inspire mothers and fathers to be change-makers, whistleblowers, truth-seekers and fearless disruptors, especially in the field of health and wellbeing for our children. I'm appalled at the way the current government has ridden roughshod over our rights and freedoms - particularly via the egregious Covid-19 Act and related legislation. I'm also passionate about medical freedom - the right to choose what we put in our bodies and what goes into our children's bodies.
About me
I was brought up on a farm in Taranaki and have worked as a lawyer and patent attorney, owned small businesses, and am mum to Dominic (9). I'm new to politics, but not new to standing up for what I believe in, especially true wellbeing and lower tox living for people and their families via my blog Dom's Kitchen. The monopolisation of information and misrepresentations made by those in positions of trust and authority (especially big food and big pharma) is alarming. We all need to step up and take action.

Rewrite the government's constitution so that the government in power can no longer be a parliamentary dictatorship. Write a people's constitution so that the people are finally represented. Write a real Bill of Rights, one that is not invalidated by Section 4 of the Bill of Rights Act (1990).
Why I’m running
As someone who never intended to become a politician, my purpose and goal in entering Parliament is to bring clarity and transparency to all government processes, ensuring policies and legislation do not disadvantage society and actually work as intended for the good of all New Zealand.
About me
Originally from Los Angeles, California. I have been in New Zealand for nearly 19 years and am a citizen. Over the last 30 years, I have worked as an intelligence analyst and private investigator in the field of corporate forensics. My speciality is analysing documents and data, such as policy, procedure, and laws. I look for inconsistencies and opportunities in the areas of government policy and legislation.

Activate our Covid-19 Response Policy to revive the economy and to bolster small businesses and tourism within Waiariki Activate our democracy policy giving citizens greater participation in democratic outcomes, and the right to veto law. Eliminate homelessness, detain the P-demic and arrest the silent killer of suicide by empowering Waiariki grown solutions.
Why I’m running
I believe my candidacy will bring the shift from current political rhetoric that our nation needs. Aotearoa New Zealand faces off against unprecedented world events brought to the fore by Covid-19. It's time we returned to the original spirit and intent of our nation's founding forebearers. Our mighty nation, though not perfect, due to its duality of nationhood is the example the world needs to restore itself. It's time for transformation and the peoples voices of Waiariki to be heard.
About me
Since returning to New Zealand from Australia in 2016 my husband and I head up two small businesses, one an iconic rural general store and a logging transport business. I continue to engage in trans-Tasman community consultancy work. My business and entrepreneurial experience comes from extensive corporate and community careers; in the role of information technology executive management within retail, FMCG sectors, education, childcare, aged care and disability services.

Ensure Nelson's coastal vs. inland road solution matches that of what the majority of Nelsonians want. Ensure that mental health support in schools of all ages is ramped up, through funding and dynamic community involvement. Establish a mechanism by which local people provide local solutions to local issues.
Why I’m running
For too long New Zealand has been sold out to offshore investors by career politicians, who care more about their careers than they do about their local communities. New Zealand is a unique slice of paradise that should be treated as such. Her people should be free to enjoy all she has to offer without the dictates of undemocratic commitments made by the current and previous governments. The mechanisms of the New Zealand political system need restructuring. I am committed to this cause.
About me
Born and raised in Nelson, I have spent much of my adult life in the helping professions: ministry, counselling, coaching, consultancy and professional supervision. I pride myself in understanding the way people do things and why they do these things. This interpersonal dynamics approach is rarely factored into today's politics. I believe that if each person did so, we would all be living in a better world, so each day, regardless of what it is I am doing, I take on that challenge.

Housing and all basic rights and freedoms. Every citizen of this land deserves their own home with food and living needs. Wipe student debt: youth need support and encouragement to cultivate their unique qualities. The burden of debt must go. Dental care: affordable and part of healthcare. Assistance and support for all, a new priority.
Why I’m running
As a proud Kiwi and New Zealander I am standing as a voice of the people, for the people! The policies of Advance NZ will make sure that every New Zealander is supported in their basic rights and freedoms which includes the right to own their own home. I will make sure the people of New Zealand thrive, with the support of a government that supports them, not controls them!
About me
An educationalist for 43 years, I'm passionate about encouraging young adults as well as children, to find their authentic voice, purpose and true vocation - whatever that may be. Enhancing and not reducing the health services of the CDHB, ensuring funds match health needs, not reduce health needs to match funding allocation. Building stronger relationships with local councils returning decision making to the local level. Enhancing and supporting local decision making.
Why I’m running
My wife and I spent several years from our late teens, to raising a young family in the electorate. I worked and played sport locally. Advance NZ is a party with probably the strongest and most experienced housing and building construction team of any party. We know how to see houses built, within smart urban planning. Our party will see every Kiwi family being able to purchase their own home.
About me
My wife and I have four adult children and six grandchildren we are proud of. We have been involved in community work, and aid projects to the Islands for many years. I chair the board of a national youth organisation dealing with an initiative called “A Hand of Hope – A reason to Live”, addressing youth suicide. Create jobs locally to impact on our housing shortage, mental wellbeing and quality of life.
Why I’m running
As a young mother I often think of what the future will look like for my children. Slowly, even over the last 5 years, I can seen my vision of the future being threatened from the top down as we have seen governing bodies are no longer working in service of the people. So, with Billy presenting a very real opportunity for New Zealanders to get involved and make a change, I decided to put myself at the table to have a say in the direction our country is heading, for future generations to thrive.
About me
During my time in the workforce I naturally gravitated toward roles that were in service to people, be that customer service or caregiving for the elderly and disabled in their homes just to name a few. More recently I have been assisting a group of w?hine I am a part of, to empower others by strengthening individuals holistically. I continue to uplift our communities from a grass roots level and see this candidacy position as an extension of the mahi that I have been doing on a larger scale.

Why I’m running
If Covid-19 has taught me anything, it is that the government can make systemic change (across all sectors) instantaneously. So why then has there been 'no significant change' in material hardship rates since 2017? Why are our children not a priority? I recently attended a child protection workshop, where I asked how I could create real change. The answer was to continue to lobby the government. I am running to ensure our children have a voice in parliament.
About me
I am a wife, a mother of two and have a degree in Education. I was born and raised in Gisborne, where I now raise my own family. I stand for normal everyday citizens who have had enough of the lies, lack of transparency and continued destruction of our human rights and democratic freedoms. Real and systemic change is needed. Hope: the people of the East need and deserve a great community that they can be proud of for themselves and their children. Transparency: starting with honesty of officials, but also trusting the people to be in the decision-making process. Accountability: for too long officials have been able to get away with bad or dubious decisions. This needs to end now!
Why I’m running
I stand for people powered democracy and transparency that has been promised but never delivered by successive governments. They do not trust the people with the truth. I will ensure the people will not be treated like children anymore. Hope is what that gets people up in the morning, yet our great-grandchildren will be repaying the debt incurred by this governments poor decisions, so accountability must be made law! It is foolish to give anyone authority who is not accountable for the results of their actions.
About me
As a former Senior Leader in the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery and manager in a government department I know the issues the East faces, and will be tackling them head on. I seek the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Portfolio and will ensure that Christchurch East is treated fairly. Flooding and water quality issues must be sorted! I will draw on my extensive experience in youth work and my time as a Board Member of Agape Trust in Aranui to ensure that youth and families in the East are provided with hope for a prosperous and healthy future.

Why I’m running
New Zealand's bright future has been severely undermined by poor decisions made by successive governments over decades. We now find ourselves with crippling debt, loss of sovereignty, eroded democratic rights and a growing dependence on China. Advance NZ is a very new party with new and innovative policies, expertise and boundless energy to help NZ refocus and reduce sovereign debt. We must apply new solutions to our current social, economic and security challenges.
About me
I am passionate about helping people find solutions and pathways to living healthy and productive lives. I have been involved in various voluntary community, fundraising and charitable roles throughout my life. In 2018 I established the BreakFree Foundation - a charitable trust aimed at developing and supporting new initiatives in the areas of community wellness. Why I’m running
I believe New Zealand has an historic opportunity to advance its political system beyond MMP to direct democracy where, as practiced in Switzerland, the voters have an ongoing control of their Parliament. Once Kiwis adopt direct democracy we will gain control of our sovereignty to better manage the government of our society.
About me
I am a fifth generation Kiwi, a father who stands for family-friendly policies that strengthen our communities. I offer NZ the hard-won insights from 25 years experience living overseas in Asia, Europe, Australia and the USA. Educated to Masters degree level, have hands-on experience in business, technology, social and cultural change, education and management. Repeal and re-write the legislation that harms our agricultural sector-consulting widely with all affected and experts. Revitalise rural communities with new economic opportunities/projects, improved roading, communication and services. Better regional management, focus and flexibility rather than the centrally directed, 'one size fits all' approach.
Why I’m running
I am appalled at the state our country is in – with threatened indefinite rolling lockdowns, massive borrowing and debt and continued removal of our personal rights and freedoms. The lack of consultation or robust law making processes sees career politicians writing unworkable totalitarian laws and regulations which are destroying our farming industry and small and medium businesses. Mental health issues and suicides have skyrocketed – I am standing with Advance NZ to change all of this.
About me
Raised on an isolated sheep and beef farm, Makarora Station, I am passionate about people, farming, environmentalism and our rural communities. I have worked in many industries here and overseas and served with Wanaka LANDSAR (sub-alpine tracking), volunteer fire/first response-fire chief, F&B Wanaka & chair of our community board. Why I’m running
I believe 2020 has presented us with the opportunity to re-evaluate our priorities as a country, and has opened our eyes to the importance of health as a community. I would love to be part of implementing the solutions needed for our physical, spiritual, mental and environmental health. I will ensure families are empowered through education, supported through community initiatives and protected by addressing and correcting the countries broken bill of rights.

It is supposed to be government for the people not government on the people. Both of the large parties have moved so far left that socialism, if not communism, is now being implemented. I want to see an end to farmers being treated like environmental terrorists & second-class citizens and respect restored. My focus is on the health, wealth and wellbeing of our families and to protect our right to medical sovereignty for all.
Why I’m running
I decided to throw my hat in the ring and enter the political realm to help create awareness to the record breaking phenomenal rise of Advance NZ under the leadership of Billy Te Kahika and Jami-Lee Ross. A party has gained unprecedented traction and resonated with NZers who strongly believe have lost their voice; our democracy has been infiltrated, interfered with and redefined to suit foreign interests and we are here to reinstate our democracy, our national sovereignty, identity and be your voice.
About me
I was born in Palmerston North and moved to Whanganui when I was eight years old. I cherish my childhood years and I want my children to have the same kiwi upbringing and opportunities that I had. I am deeply concerned with where NZ is headed. I am a mother of four daughters, a business owner employing six and now heavily involved in politics. Repeal the Covid-19 Health Bill to prevent further lockdowns destroying businesses. Remove red-tape (proposed and current) that is pricing farmers out of the industry. Remove GST on non-processed foods, baby foods, feminine hygiene items, nappies, medicines and health supplements.
Why I’m running
The erosion of personal sovereignty and the increase of bureaucracy over time, and the overreach of the current government under the guise of Covid-19 (which is a framework for tyranny), was my call to action. I want to see real democracy return to the people; have a government that works in the best interest of Kiwis and our country, and it's resources. We are a very capable and clever people, who could easily be self sustaining and thriving given the opportunity and the right support.
About me
I'm best described as pragmatic, patient and solutions driven with an ability to think outside the square. These natural qualities I possess will be utilised in helping serve the constituents. I am not a career politician but an everyday Kiwi with a background in IT who wants all to prosper and I intend to implement solutions to issues: unaffordable houses, red-tape for farmers, struggling small businesses, unemployment, unreliable public transport, disillusioned youths, animal abuse.

Why I’m running
I believe New Zealand is the best country in the world but the management of this nation over the last decades has not been for the nation's best interest. The tragic and devastating decisions over the last months has motivated me to support a peoples movement that started during the first lockdown in March 2020. What has evolved over the last few months is a party that can reclaim NZ for all the people. A country where our children and grandchildren can enjoy a better place than what we know.
About me
My father is Welsh and mother Cook Islander. I currently work for a tier 1 construction company, Mt Wellington Highway, for the past 10 years. We build wonderful infrastructure for NZ and the Pacific Islands. I bring that expectation of delivery of outcomes to benefit the people of this electorate, where the present & previous governments have failed. Starting as a fitter and turner at Devonport dockyard, 12 years in the UK and France, returning to be a carer for my father with Parkinson's disease.

End the lockdown nonsense and reopen our economy, find and present the truth on what is really going on at the moment. Review government departments to ensure processes are followed lawfully such as GCSB/NZSIS and internal/external affairs. Hold the state to account for making the NZ Police pretend like they can enforce certain lockdown rules when they cannot
Why I’m running
I believe in sovereignty and transparency. If I get into parliament, I am going to search for and present the truth about how the system really works so they can make informed decisions about there lives. This government has a lot of secrets and I will endeavour to bring the information to light. Together we will free ourselves of the hold they have over us and set the record straight.
About me
I am that I am. I am a truth-seeker. I spend many hours a day searching for new information to get a better understanding about the world around us. I've had my time at university. I have attained a masters degree in Economics from AUT and a graduate diploma in data analytics. All of which taught me skills about analysing and processing information. I support groups that stand against the darkness and corruption. I was with Internet Party in 2017, and now here I stand in Advance NZ for 2020.

My local priorities
Reopen all local businesses safely to promote the positive health of personal and economic community life. Oppose unnecessary taxes which increase the high cost of living and prevent local spending. Remove restrictions that prevent sensible transport infrastructure and cause excessive house prices.
Why I’m running
I believe as a country we deserve results, not more red tape and systems/procedures/wasted money. I have worked for 25 years in the health and education sector as a specialist. I'm tired of promises that do not lead to grass roots services and real support for individuals, families, and communities. More important than ever in this current crisis, we need to protect people, and reinstate their voice. I believe that power/change should come from the ground up, not from government down.
About me
As a specialist health and education professional for over 25 years, I have pushed the mandate for more local control, common sense, and respect for all people. I believe that every New Zealander deserves the right to the best possible opportunities in life. We are a resource abundant country and every kiwi should be able to prosper here. I am committed to providing more holistic, high quality, and unbiased services within NZ. I am born and raised in this area, and currently living in Orewa.

Protect medical freedoms including vaccines and ensure we can service our people's health needs post-Covid. To assist in the rebuilding of our local businesses and working to support them where necessary. To push for quick roading solutions to ease traffic congestion that is getting worse due to overdevelopment in this area.
Why I’m running
I came to realise that during the first COVID lockdown that things were not right with the narrative that we were being told by our government with regards to the disease. As my understanding of what was occurring in our country grew, I realised it had slipped away from our control (many years in the making). I want my children to live in our country as free democratic individuals and not be controlled by over regulation from a government that seems to no longer serve its people.
About me
I have lived on the North Shore for nearly 10 years with experience in health care. I have owned a small business so understand the pressure owners will be under. I am pro-choice on vaccination and medical freedoms. I care about what is happening in education and I want to see something done about our inability to ease traffic congestion this area. I want to educate people on the United Nations International Council of Local and Environment Initiatives that our Mayor has signed the city up to.

Free NZ from globalist agendas. Clean up and repeal legislation that does not serve the people. Support the drafting of a NZ People's constitution.
Why I’m running
As the days go by and as we get closer and closer to this election I am more and more convinced that we have not had access to the truth. I believe this government has withheld crucial information from us. I stand for truth, transparency and accountability. It has come to it that regular working class people like me need to stand up and demand accountability.
About me
I will never be a slick career politician but I will stick my neck out to stand up for and defend what is good and wholesome. I packed up and left the UK because of the way the country was going. That same greedy corrupt energy is now looking to feed from our shores and from our land here in NZ and I will stand strong against it. I ask you to stand with me, this is the struggle of our generation and we must stand together and we must stand strong.

Repeal Covid-19 Act, rewrite protecting the vulnerable, end lockdowns and opening the borders for trade and tourism. Repeal Zero Carbon Act, RMA, and Fresh Water Management Plan. Rewrite last two in consultation with all affected parties. Bonfire of regulations and red tape, reduce taxes, Reserve Bank debt-free spending on infrastructure, no GST on basics.
Why I’m running
Having watched the systematic destruction of our rights and freedoms by both Labour and National, along with their minor party accomplices over the past few decades, I feel that we are rapidly reaching a tipping point, where if some good people don't step forward and put a stop to this, the wonderful country that we live in will be gone. I see it as my duty to protect the freedom that our forefathers fought and died for. I will fight hard for the people of Southland, from farmers to tourism.
About me
I am an ex-shearer and self-made businessman with a contract hunting and pest control business within which we also have a venison recovery operation, hunting and recovering wild deer from around the South Island via helicopter. I am also a partner in a gold mining company and manage the farm my family and I live on at Mossburn. I believe in personal and monetary freedom and sovereignty. Immediate halt to 1080 drops which are eradicating native fauna, poisoning our water and prohibiting outdoors pursuits. Reopen schools, P.O., and other infrastructures in small communities to allow them to thrive, grow and attract innovation. Roll-back restrictive regulation/consent on houses, business and farms. Undo regs that agree that man is unsustainable.
Why I’m running
2017-18 were years I spent in geopolitical research published in 'We Are Revolting', about the determiners causing sovereign nations to adopt world governance. NZ's way of life is being stolen by unelected global private-public partnerships acting as a shadow government. We should have the right of free movement, and free speech. NZ needs a real Bill of Rights, people's constitution and a government constitution that keeps future governments from overreach. I am standing to secure a free future.
About me
30 years married and having home educated our six children, has given me a keen sense of fairness, commitment and love for autonomy. I have leadership experience in medical microbiology, cancer research and ECE tertiary tutoring. I am a research/writer building a tiny house. Taupō electorate was my second home until finally settling here in 2007. I run a micro-farm with off grid practices, moving towards self-sufficiency and delight in off grid food preservation supporting a healthy immune system.

Protect our bill of human rights. Ensure we enshrine this act and protect all New Zealanders Replant unused land in trees. Sustainable forestry, olive, nuts and hemp, native reforestation. Shelter. Alternative housing development that is run by community for community and doesn't involve large developers.
Why I’m running
I believe we are at a crucial time in history where technology and corporate power is gaining unwieldy control over our lives and am standing for protection of our bill of human rights. Our freedom of movement and expression Is under attack on a global scale and humans need to stand up and show solidarity to mitigate global corporatist influence over our lives. I believe the best solutions come from within our communities, not NGOs or foreign organisations that seek to control our activities.
About me
I was born and bred in Petone and have spent many years living rurally in the South Island before returning to Wellington. I have a deep love for the land and believe that clean water and healthy soil are our greatest natural resources. I'm a fan of reinvigorating our forestry plan with exotic timber plantation that does not involve clear felling. I am not a fan of centralisation and believe strongly that our regions have the ability to solve most of the local issues they face.

Taxes and SME: oppose tax increases and get real relief for small businesses struggling. Health/education: breakfast in schools, health/self defence programmes so kids build confidence and get healthy. Justice: harsher sentences for criminals, especially crimes against children.
Why I’m running
I look around West Auckland now and it isn't the place I grew up in. We have people living on the streets and in their cars, kids are going hungry and local government aren't doing anything. No one else seems to be standing up for New Lynn, everyone's more worried about if their suit matches their shoes or what number they are ranked in their party. I don't care about any of that, I care about getting the job done. We aren't being heard, I'm not afraid to stand up and be that voice for New Lynn.
About me
Our family has a history of running small businesses in West Auckland since 1960. My father is the late Don Oliver and from a young age, I was submerged in a performance culture, one that pushes values like integrity, honesty and hard work. I have competed at power lifting and combat sports most of my life and moved onto coaching when I travelled the world with Mark Hunt as his head ground coach. Protect and grow our retail/small businesses in the CBD. Revitalise our city centre through the completion of recreational infrastructure so we can have more public events. Introduce better guidelines for inner city living that will benefit Christchurch.
Why I’m running
I am concerned that we are losing our democratic rights in this country right now. New Zealanders have had enough of politicians pursuing their own personal agendas, what we want is transparent stewardship of this country by honest people who put the country first. It's time for change. It's time for the people to take this country back.
About me
I was born and raised in St Albans. I own two small businesses in Christchurch. I am a Chartered Accountant and work with small and start-up businesses. The ongoing mental health and wellbeing crisis needs a review and overhaul. Our environment and natural resources; the use of poisons need to be eradicated and implement alternative solutions. Why I’m running
I'm running as a candidate because I'm very concerned where the present government is taking us, from a democratic sovereign country we grew up in with rights and freedoms into a fear-based totalitarian state. I stand for my children, their children and for their freedom.

I've lived in our community for the past 10 years, where I live with my partner. I have three sons and three grandsons. Look into a longer term closure of Tiwai, so the Invercargill electorate can prepare for the future. Look into the terrible suicide rate in Southland, which has one of the highest per capita rates in New Zealand. Look into the draconian Resource Management Act which is turning farmers into criminals.
Why I’m running
I am running for parliament in the 2020 election as the Advance NZ candidate because I am disillusioned with the direction the present government is taking us, from a democratic country we grew up in, with freedoms and personal sovereignty. I feel if I don't do something about the disillusionment of people in this country, then what may be left for my children. I don't want them left with a feeling of division, and reality of debt. Not even able to own their own home or have a job to pay for it.

About me
I am standing in this seat as a young mother who is concerned for the future for my children. I am not political, my stance is due to the need for a void to be filled in the Kaikoura electorate. Why I’m running
I am standing as a candidate as a result of ongoing excessive response with Covid-19.
