Outdoors Party
My local priorities
Reinstate local decision-making. Encourage freedom and access to the outdoors. Promote Nelson as a centre of wellbeing and an example to NZ and the world.
Why I’m running
Imagine Nelson, and New Zealand as a center of integrated well-being, localism and regenerative farming where people, communities and nature are connected, and where decisions are made to ensure all can thrive. Imagine educating people to think, create, and be valued for uniqueness, diversity and innovative community solutions. Imagine if science and economics were transparent, and ethics and values were considered in decision-making. Imagine if people were put before corporations. This is why.
About me
I'm a strategist, lawyer, solo mum, adventurer with a history of empowering communities and niche businesses to successfully challenge the status quo. I love Nelson and New Zealand, our outdoors, culture and people. I've overcome many challenges and would love to share my expertise to turn the current system inside out to restore not only power but also hope and inspiration to the people and New Zealand.

My local priorities
Stop the use of aerial 1080 to save our native species from chronic poisoning, support extensive trapping/hunting. Stop over fishing in NZ waters by big corporations and foreign vessels to protect our fisheries for future generationse. Protect people's health by reducing/removing harmful chemicals, support complementary and functional medicine for health.
Why I’m running
Our country is in crisis. Conservation: 50 percent of kea dying in each 1080 operation. Fishing: snapper sold to China at $1/kilo and 100s tons dumped. Water bottling industry: billions of litres of purest water shipped overseas for no profit for NZ. Small and medium business dying due to disproportionate Covid response. Health: one of the worlds highest cancer and heart disease rate. Massive debt to the private banking sector. Crisis in leadership, no intelligent solutions coming out of government.
About me
I've been caring for patients my whole working life and my concerns are always about the well being of people and the environment. I got into politics due to an interest in monetary reform and fears around what the TPPA meant for NZ in the short and long-term. This is my fourth election. Most recently I ran for BOP DHB to highlight how to integrate natural and functional medicine into conventional medicine to improve health outcomes and reducing environmental toxins that make our people sick.

My local priorities
Support local businesses, start-ups and co-ops through a focus on localism, local produce and re-generation. Improve socio-economic outcomes through collaborative strategies that help to improve the quality of life for all. Represent and be the voice of the people and ensure communities are well informed of all issues that may impact on them.
Why I’m running
I have a great love for our natural environment, community and society and am concerned around the current corporatisation and technocratic globalisation of our country. I believe NZ's future and economy should be self-reliant and thriving and based on organics, regenerative horticulture and agriculture, holistic health, holistic education and localism. I am also passionate about true democracy, transparency and accountability in all aspects of government.
About me
I've been involved in governance on school BOTs and Kaikoura District Council, and enjoy working collaboratively with others towards goals and outcomes. I really enjoy being a voice for the community and have always promoted transparency and accountability, as well as critical and creative thinking to find solutions to problems. I value input from all perspectives and desire to see an improvement in the quality of life that will see all people, their communities and New Zealand thrive.

My local priorities
Encourage the development of nature based education in schools and kindergarten, promote social-emotional health. Advocate and employ improved safety standards/ traffic design around schools and playgrounds. Improve environmental health in our community: better EMR/RF regulations, water quality, insect friendly edible gardens.
Why I’m running
I believe we need a healthier democracy. We need people in parliament who are willing to stand up for the people and advocate fully for our communities. Our education system is not fully serving our students or teachers. Politicians need to be more than corporate mouthpieces. Whether we talk about mental health, the environment, human rights, education, health, economic growth we will find a solid foundation in our grassroots. I am here to help NZ thrive not just survive.
About me
Canterbury has been my home for many years and I have strong ties to Ilam. My family is multi-cultural, I have been part of the NZ-Nepalese community for some years. I believe Ilam is strengthened by its diversity. I am a qualified teacher. I am known for my charity work. I want to be a voice for youth and children, promote wellbeing and health, invest in culture and the arts, advocate for localism and environmental issues.

Abolish tax on incomes below $40k (as this is the living wage). Bring back local councils – local rates to benefit local communities. Support local and small to medium businesses – less red tape to enable businesses to flourish.
Why I’m running
My motivation for standing as a candidate is to work towards making a difference in the lives of ordinary New Zealanders. I feel very concerned about the difficulties that low to middle income families have to live a good life and provide good healthy food for their growing children. The policies of the Outdoors Party strive to enrich the everyday person by assisting small to middle sized businesses and removing tax on living wage incomes.
About me
I believe that our local communities are not being best served by the super city and we, at the Outdoors Party, believe that we need to encourage localism – support small and medium-sized business and give the power back to the people on the ground. Your rates need to be enhancing your and your family's lives and incomes under $40k should not be taxed as this is a living wage.

End the mass use of poisons across our lands. Work out compensation for the farmers in Westland who have had their property stolen by Sage. Review all the laws and rules that the department of conversation, Sage and the profiteers have imposed on us.
Why I’m running
I love the country I live in, the local Tasman, West Coast is my home. To give back to the community by ending 1080 poisoning our food and water is very important. Being an MP that's not a puppet for their party. I am an individual with an amazing registered real party backing me. I will stand up for the real people, 'us', you and me to protect our environment, our way of life, our rights to freedom and fair democracy. No more stealing our lands without compensation!
About me
Background is in dairy farming and shearing, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. I have my own organic free range beef ranch of over 100 hectares in the Shenandoah. I have worked professionally in hospitality management, development and owned my own businesses. I'm an advocate for mental health, suicide prevention and a better healthier way of life. I have lived in Australia, Dubai, Sri Lanka and home here in NZ. I am young enough to have energy and motivation, old enough to have lived and learned.

Immediate cessation of 1080, glyphosate, and any other unnecessary toxic substance or practice e.g. Qu. 5G, fluoride, geo? Growing good government from the ground up by championing local decision-making over centralisation and globalism. Supporting local initiatives, and sound ecological practices so we have thriving communities and healthy, happy families.
Why I’m running
Covid is a much needed wake up call. As Jane Goodall said, we have brought it on ourselves, with our disrespect for nature. We need to stop the egotistical, corporate profiteering, causing poverty and homelessness, and adopt ecologically sound governance, that helps everyone enjoy a good life full of opportunity: harvesting the abundance that nature has to offer, rather than the toxic legacy of Monsanto et al. We must reclaim our country from vested global interests, and regain our communities.
About me
My life has been blighted by the thoughtless application of numerous toxic chemicals, mindsets and drugs, against which I have campaigned vigorously over the past 40 years, whilst at the same time showing that there are better, non-toxic, effective, and more economic ways of managing our health and the environment. I will alway battle to create a legacy for future generations that we can all be proud of, and stop the extinction of 200 species a day punching one million holes in our essential web of life.

Housing security: our whānau/family needs affordable and enjoyable housing. Taxation restructure: lowering taxes for low/middle income families with a minimum guaranteed income. Localisation: looking after our families, neighbors, small business and elderly. Moving away from globalisation.
Why I’m running
We were promised that our children would have lower poverty, which translates to families and communities having lower poverty and this just has not happened under Labour, the Greens and NZ First. Panmure-Ōtāhuhu has many benefits but our land faces its own characteristic issues. I believe that we need to structurally change the taxation and financial structure to better benefit all New Zealand instead of global and large monopoly business. We must unite, be the change, we are the 99 percent!
About me
Born in rural Auckland in the northern town Warkworth, I moved to Ōtāhuhu when I was 21yrs old having previously flatted for a few years in Panmure. 25 years later I love the community/culture in my "home town". I am active at the local recreation center Tōia having actively pushed council to maintain the infrastructure, this is ongoing. Having worked in IT then moved onto Construction and having done building management, I am systems focused. Above all whanau/family comes first!

Why I’m running
I believe New Zealand is no longer a clean green country to admire. Our beautiful land is drenched in toxins that harm all life including the insects in the soil. The Outdoors Party are committed to cleaning up Aotearoa and banning chemicals that no longer have a place here. We want to breath fresh air, drink clean water, eat food free from chemicals. Be able to swim in your local river without the pollution. That is a right after all. Sadly this is not the case. It is time for a change and now NZ.
About me
My community allows the manufacturing and supply of one of the most toxic chemicals around today. Sodium fluoroacetate has been in New Zealand since the 1950s. NZ use 90 percent of the world's supply. It is Inhumane, it has caused 60 years of death. There is no real data to say this is safe to human life. Exposure to 1080 in water can effect the unborn, fertility can cause malformation. They do not listen to petitions, referendums, I need to get into Parliment to be heard. Please vote for me.

Oppose further rollout of 5G until the community has been sufficiently consulted and satisfied of its safety to all! Support harm reducing health based initiatives to deal with the high rates of meth use, gang activity and incarceration. Grow small business and beautify Christchurch East to bring the standard of living up to be a more healthier and happier place.
Why I’m running
Freedom regarding our environment, our bodies and our choices, have been eroded one by one over time and I am standing as a candidate in this election to help implement solutions that can reverse that and to encourage people to claim back their own power and freedoms. I would also like to oversee and support the cannabis referendum that I helped initiate, to stop the unnecessary yet rampant persecution and prosecution as well as to make it easily accessible and affordable for those who need it!
About me
Many people in this country have devastatingly suffered, yet their voices have not been heard. I know because I am one of them. I was brought up lost in the welfare system, stigmatized in the school system, used and abused in the health system and targeted by the justice system. And yet, I could always find the silver lining. I strive for a happy, healthy community and environment where our children can thrive and I will never give up until we succeed. Localism and freedom of choice is key here.

Assist farming communities to develop localism building richness for all to be rich, richer soils, pasture and foods. Assist recreational fishers to protect and enhance their grounds for all of the community to benefit, in wider debate. Drive environmental issues increasing its landscape values to enrich localism, community enterprise and small business.
Why I’m running
NZ has been stolen by the global corporate fascist tyranny. 1984 saw 57 state owned assets sold. We will take them back building localism supported by district owned cooperative banks. Our farming communities are our backbone needing protection from banksters is critical. Coromandel needs a strong voice to stand up. From a farming background developing a career as an Ecology Architect I have a thorough understanding of many issues and a strong view on the environment and conservation.
About me
I live in Coromandel electorate with my wife and children walk'n the talk. I have extensive global experience as an ecology architect. I have been involved in politics for 50 years lectured widely and maintain active roles in farming. I enjoy debate on any subject and keen to consider any topic on principle above personal gain. Change we must. Now is the time. 75 percent of our economy comes from agriculture forestry and fishing we must protect this and develop it building our rural communities.
