Why I'm standing

I have lived here for 21 years and am passionate about the Buller and Westport. My children have gone through school here and had the advantage of a safe, friendly and helpful community. I continue to be in awe of the goodwill and generosity of our community especially when times are tough. There is a great future for the Buller and I want to offer my service to build that future.

About me

I have had one term as a local councillor and in my current role as a principal, plenty of governance and leadership experience. I work well in a team, either as a leader or team member. I believe that the people of the Buller need and deserve a voice and their ideas and thoughts valued. This does not mean that all ideas are actioned, but a genuine hearing and a reasoned response should be expected.

My priorities
  1. Ensure that the flood recovery is supported to provide surety for those most at risk and in need.
  2. Establish a rating system that is both fair, equitable and transparent for Buller ratepayers.
  3. Ensure that Buller's ageing infrastructure continues to be upgraded to support future growth.
