Why I'm standing

I believe we need bold and meaningful action to reduce emissions, and future-proof our city for the impacts of climate change. We need to ensure our communities are at the forefront of decision-making and the climate adaptation conversation. By taking collective action now, we can create a better, more liveable city and a climate-resilient future.

About me

In the short time I've been on council I have worked hard to bridge the gap between community and council. I helped establish live streaming of our community board meetings and a community advisory group for the wastewater plant. I've successfully secured funding for infrastructure for the Pūkeko centre in Parklands and for the New Brighton mall. I have a masters degree in politics and law and have a track record getting results.

My priorities
  1. Action on climate change, helping communities prepare and adapt to climate change.
  2. Improving community engagement and trust and empowering local decision making.
  3. Create a better future for communities transitioning to a low-emission and more sustainable city.
