Why I'm standing

I'm standing for council because I believe our city is being poorly led and heading in the wrong direction. Services are failing, rates are spiralling up and the promised big infrastructure upgrades are not happening. I have the experience and expertise to get things back on track and address the big challenges the city is facing.

About me

I was born in the Hutt and have lived here for over 50 years. That, combined with my 12 years as council chief executive, mean I know our communities and what it takes to lead a council in their best interests. I have delivered numerous big infrastructure projects for the Hutt while maintaining the lowest rates increases in the country.

My priorities
  1. Stop the excessive rates increases by restoring discipline over spending.
  2. Genuinely consult on the big issues and put people before party politics.
  3. Get back to basics and fix the broken services.
