LETS GO Invercargill

Why I'm standing

I want to enhance Invercargill's appeal to the younger generation and ensure the city is an attractive place to build a career and raise a family. As a 32 year old, I believe I add a younger perspective to council decisions. I also believe some of council's recent decisions have been made behind closed doors without adequate consultation with the public.

About me

Working as a financial adviser, I engage with a variety of people throughout the community and help them find financial security. Outside of work, I am a family man who enjoys outdoor adventures. I have a keen interest in local and national politics, which has drawn me to stand for council and being part of a team developing an exciting future for the city. I consider myself to be an honest, open and democratically minded person.

My priorities
  1. Enable development and push to enhance the vibrancy of the city centre.
  2. Fast track the new museum, by streamlining the process. Do some of the project stages concurrently.
  3. Prioritise council's core functions (roading, water and waste services).
