Why I'm standing

I have a dream that Manurewa would be the ideal place to live, work and raise our future leaders. I am running because I believe I can bring transformation to Manurewa at a time when it is needed most. I want to see a community that is deeply interconnected; where we have connections between environmental, social and economic systems. We must heal our community to make it safe and inclusive so we can ALL thrive.

About me

Manurewa has been home to me and my whānau for 25 years. I am guided by my faith and values of Tikanga Māori. I will be taking a good look at the strengths and shortcomings of our current systems and adapting them so that our people are free from deprivation now and in the future! Committed to amplifying the voices of our most vulnerable so that we can rewrite the systems we live in.

My priorities
  1. Commit to a local strategy to prevent and end youth homelessness.
  2. Collaborate with local iwi and the community to fund initiatives that promote community well-being.
  3. Commit to free transport, providing access to broader geographical opportunities and reducing carbon
