Why I'm standing

I have enjoyed working with the community and making a positive contribution for the last six years as community board chair. It's now the right time to be part of steering our direction and focusing on the future for this wonderful place we call home. Working together, we will accomplish even more.

About me

I want to bridge the gap between community and council, and my work experience and skills will play a big part in this. I live locally and have been available and approachable. I have worked hard for the community to get results both with council and external agencies such as NZ Transport Agency. I bring a fresh perspective but have a proven track record, so a great combination

My priorities
  1. Improve community engagement and encourage local decision making so we get it right the first time.
  2. Encourage and support local employers so that employment and services are provided for locals.
  3. Keep on with my advocacy for issues that the community feel strongly about.
