Why I'm standing

We must bring decision making back to the local community. It appears from feedback both at public meetings and from general discussion that changes at local (and national) level are being undertaken without due consultation with the general public. This is of grave concern.

About me

I will engage with those I represent and give them my ear. I don't see how I can do the job of representing the residents without fulfilling this basic requirement. It appears constituents believe this function is currently not being fulfilled.

My priorities
  1. Prioritise consultation with the public on proposed changes to the local community.
  2. Question policies pushed from Wellington on issues that are poorly substantiated.
  3. Work to extend half-price bus travel in the greater city area for another three years.
