Mayor of Western Bay of Plenty

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I believe our mayor and councillors are not visible to our community and there are patterns of waste over the past decades that are not being interrupted. I believe under my leadership there will be a level of integrity that will be palpable.

About me

I have been retired from being an Electrician for 4 years, I have completed senior programs with Landmark Worldwide as personal growth and development courses since 1998. I have been assisting in the wisdom area since 2011 and engage with participants internationally via zoom. I work effectively with teams of people consistently producing extraordinary results. Through key values of integrity, accountability and effectiveness to name a few.

My priorities
  1. Impact the financial accountability, such that we could minimise our losses.
  2. Work closely with tangata whenua, what are they saying that I am interested in developing.
  3. Impact housing and youth employment in the larger district.
