Why I'm standing

The next three years will be the most challenging for local democracy with Labour's Three Waters reforms and its current review of local government. I want to ensure we can argue for the best outcome for our ratepayers. I want to continue my efforts to make Whanganui grow and provide a great place to live.

About me

I've already had nine years on council and am very effective at making the changes we need to thrive. I volunteer a lot of my time to building Whanganui's heritage reputation and I lobby central government for more supportive funding for our initiatives.

My priorities
  1. Make the most of the Port and Sarjeant redevelopment projects – these are huge investments.
  2. Attract a hotel to Whanganui. We need those beds if we are going to expand events and attractions.
  3. Keep improving the town centre so its vibrant and continues to attract more retailers and cafes etc.
Current role
