Why I'm standing

Climate change is the biggest threat facing our current, and future generations. I believe I can be part of the effort to act in a way to make a better city for all to continue to enjoy. We need people who can influence and enact the necessary policy to do this, and I have a proven track record in making and delivering on climate, environment, and development related issues.

About me

If elected this will be my third term in a local board service. I bring experience in this, and from both the private and public sectors, having worked in housing, conservation and in sustainable transport advocacy. I came to the role of elected member, not through politics, but through community activism. This is something I'm proud of, I live locally and have self-built my own home with the intention of staying local, long term.

My priorities
  1. Establish a masterplan for Whau (or the suburbs of) to manage increasing density equitably.
  2. Increasing tree canopy cover and open spaces, eg delivering on the Urban Ngahere strategy.
  3. Advocate on getting the Southdown Line west-south public transport connection back on the table.
