Woodend-Sefton Community Board

The Woodend-Sefton Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Waimakariri District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I want to give back to the community and use my experience leading large teams of young people and working in a prominent business to make the community a better place. I want to listen and advocate for the area and make it even better than it already is.

About me

I am passionate about this community, having moved here four years ago, and want to see it fulfil the enormous potential it has. I am a great listener and deep thinker about policy issues. I have studied policy at university and want to marry up my local business experience with an entry into local government politics through a community board.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for a strong growth plan for this area.
  2. Listen to the concerns of the community and be their voice.
  3. Make sure every dollar taken from a ratepayer is spent appropriately and with a focus on outcomes.
