Why I'm standing
After having been a police officer for 49 years, dealing largely with society's failure and problems, I want to apply the skills and knowledge I have to ensuring we recognise the need to give every New Zealander the opportunity to fully participate in society. I also want to use the advocacy skills I developed as Police Association President to ensure Ōhariu residents receive the best representation possible.
About me
I first lived in Ōhariu in the 1970s and have lived here in six different addresses on and off since. I policed in the area and played in sports teams here. I live here now.
My priorities
- Ensure development of the Johnsonville shopping mall proceeds.
- Ensure house building in Ōhariu and New Zealand accelerates to meet the needs of New Zealanders.
- Ensure Ōhariu and all of Welington has the necessary secure infrastructure to grow.
