Why I'm standing

We've faced many challenges as a city and worked together to overcome them. Now we need to work together to face up to climate change, to lower our emissions, enhance our waterways and increase biodiversity. I want to put people and planet at the heart of our decision making, to be brave and act now to build a sustainable future.

About me

I have a history of service to my local community after the earthquakes and in grass roots community activation and connection. I also have three teenagers who motivate and challenge me every day to create them a sustainable future. As chair of council's Sustainability and Community Resilience Committee and a director on Christchurch City Holdings Ltd, I have the experience and motivation needed to enable our transition to a thriving, sustainable 21st century Garden City.

My priorities
  1. Action on climate change – lowering our emissions and working with communities to adapt.
  2. Community engagement and trust in decision making processes.
  3. Liveable neighbourhoods with safe streets and plenty of trees.
