Why I'm standing

I am standing for council because I care about people and the communities, we live in. Trust and confidence in our current council is at an all-time low. Council is distracted by politics and ideologies, and not focused on people or community outcomes. I want to change that and bring the community voice back to the table.

About me

I'm family focused and community minded with a 30 year history of community service and a strong professional background in law, executive leadership and governance. Having worked in private practice, with central and local government and iwi, I'm well placed to help navigate the challenges ahead for our city. I am open minded and practical, an effective listener and a skilled advocate, not afraid to have tough conversations I will work hard to represent Papanui.

My priorities
  1. Rebuild public trust and confidence in council for the benefit of the community.
  2. Focus on the basics and improve delivery of core services for the benefit of the community.
  3. Review spending priorities and look for ways to spend smarter for the community.
