The Fairlie Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Mackenzie District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members: four members elected by voters, and one councillor from the Mackenzie District Council. Why I'm standing
I believe that there are serious challenges ahead and that we need to come together as a community to ensure we met them. Community resilience and local self-sufficiency will be all important, and I want to help this to happen in Fairlie.
About me
I have experience running a small business as a former veterinarian, I am a qualified historian with museum experience, and I want to contribute to the community in which I live.
My priorities
- Support community resilience and self-sufficiency.
- Support and promote a weekly farmer's market.
- Provide shared footpaths and cycleways for pedestrians, cyclists and mobility scooters.
