The Golden Bay Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Tasman District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of four members. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions. Golden Bay is the heart of the parks, and we have a unique opportunity to create that brand for ourselves as well as being the sustainable capital of NZ.

About me

I have served on the Community board for six years. I feel excited about our future as we face some of the biggest changes to local government and how we manage housing, farming, water, aquaculture, land, and the environment in a sustainable way. I provide good leadership and governance for Golden Bay while we retain our strong community. I am open, listen and advocate for the people of Golden Bay. Together, we find solutions.

My priorities
  1. I would ensure sustainability underpins every decision made.
  2. Secure our coastline is protected and include protection of shore birds.
  3. Protect Mt Arthur aquifer.
