Why I'm standing

I believe in integrating ethnic communities into the fabric of NZ society. The local board needs to be diversified to deal with the multi-ethnic voices. I think the lack of ethnic representation in the local board creates a vacuum between communities. Diversity, inclusively, equity and interfaith interaction would help make a peaceful and harmonic constituency. The more we know each other, the more we understand and respect different values, faith and cultures.

About me

I am a self-motivated and passionate social worker. I have been serving ethnic communities for over two decades. I have contested for LBE2019 and learned a lot from this experience. Since then, I have been preparing myself for this election by advancing my skills and knowledge. Currently, I am studying politics, international relations and organisational studies at the University of Auckland and want to use my advanced knowledge to improve the Howick Local Board.

My priorities
  1. Establish women's recreation facilities or allocate time slots to facilitate restrictive communities.
  2. Promote and enhance youth engagement activities to help mitigate metal health issues.
  3. Promote interfaith harmony.
