Hutt City Council

Central Ward
The Hutt City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 12 councillors and the mayor. One councillor will be elected from the Central ward. The other councillors will be elected from other wards or by all voters in the city. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

Lower Hutt is a great place to live and work. Like anywhere it could be better. Better alignment and though with the business community will attract more opportunity and jobs to the area. I believe with my background I can be part of this.

About me

A very sound business background combined with a good ability to work with others and work through issues. I would bring a practical, business like approach to the council.

My priorities
  1. Build a sustainable long term plan for Lower Hutt that allows for the impacts of climate change.
  2. Build local public transport links that deal with the real needs of getting people to work.
  3. Have a deliverable promotional plan for the Hutt that delivers more events and activities.
