Kaikohe-Hokianga Community Board

Kaikohe Subdivision
The Kaikohe-Hokianga Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Far North District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of seven members: six members elected by voters, including three members from your area, and one councillor from the Far North District council. I believe that voters need to be given a choice to elect someone who doesn't promise their part of the district the earth (and can't deliver), but rather will do their best to get the council to deliver services efficiently and in a trustworthy manner to the entire district.

About me

I have a strong sense of fairness. All of the communities of the Far North should get a fair go from the council. I have served as chair of the board for two terms and I can support the new board members in understanding what is needed from a effective community board.
