Martinborough Community Board

The Martinborough Community Board represents your local community and advocates to South Wairarapa District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members: four members elected by voters, and two councillors from the South Wairarapa District Council. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Martinborough Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I have for many years enjoyed what Martinborough and the wider SWDC has to offer, and now living here I want to give something to the community by way of my experience and skill set to grow the area. The community needs to have its voice heard and this can mean being a strong advocate for the community. Something that matches my skill set.

About me

I moved here by choice and I want to make the most of that choice. I have worked for many years in road safety technology, security, biometrics and digital technologies in Wellington, Auckland and Canberra, before moving here to live. I was able to maintain business connections throughout the world while based here. These technologies can assist me in the services I can provide to the community.

My priorities
  1. Provide a clear voice on things that impact this community and based on what the community wants.
  2. Ensure communications to the community are readily available, with feedback.
  3. Enhance the services the township provides to residents and tourists alike.
