Why I'm standing

I feel that at this point in time I can make a real contribution to the Mercury Bay area. I have experience in UX design (ask me about this), complimented by a background in business, design and marketing, which I believe gives me a unique perspective and enables me to think outside the box. I feel this is something our area needs in these challenging times.

About me

I moved to Whitianga 2 years ago and ran a software development company in Auckland. I have travelled all over the world, so I know what a special place we have here. I currently own and run two local businesses, both with a drive to support locals. I am the chairperson on two boards, the NZ Mini Golf Federation, and Whitianga Toy Library, along with the marketing officer of the NZ Toy Library Federation.

My priorities
  1. Enhance transparency and engagement in community board processes.
  2. Plan for future resilience. For example, active transport and coastal management.
  3. Advocate for council spaces to be managed in such a way as to promote their safe use.
