Why I'm standing

I have a very good understanding and knowledge of the area and the people who call this place home. I have lived and farmed in Kaipara all of my life and have a good understanding of how our economy works. Having five years as Northland Federated Farmers President and working with all four councils in Northland, I carry a wealth of experience in local government. I have also been a councillor on Kaipara District Council.

About me

I am well known in Northland and I make myself available when ever possible. I have experience as a councillor and have been a board member on a few boards. I have managed a farming business for over forty years which according to Beef and Lamb's economic service has been in the top twenty percent in economic performance. I want to be given the chance make Northland a more vibrant place to live.

My priorities
  1. Roading is a huge issue with our state highway system in very poor repair.
  2. Stop the huge increase in rate rises which we see is set to rise by 52 percent over the next three years.
  3. Four-lane highway from Whangārei south to encourage business to operate in Northland.
