Why I'm standing

I have a passion for serving our community, supporting the development of local solutions. I want to work towards protecting what we love and making wise decisions for the future so we can all thrive. I have listened to people and feel strongly that Oxford-Ohoka needs good representation and strategic-thinking moving forward around local issues. I also care about the wellbeing of our community as we emerge from a pandemic.

About me

I have skills in building healthy communities, negotiating change and bringing together diverse groups of people to achieve common goals. I hope to listen and respond to community need through democratic decision-making, bringing local solutions to the table, while building on what others in the past have created for us to enjoy. I live on a lifestyle block, have worked at Te Koromiko Swannanoa School and am a member of the Ohoka Resident's Association.

My priorities
  1. Promote balanced growth that enhances rural character.
  2. Support future-proof sensible decision making for extreme weather events.
  3. Advocate for progress with Rangiora Health Hub, meeting medical/mental health needs of our community.
