Paraparaumu Community Board

The Paraparaumu Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Kāpiti Coast District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members: four members elected by voters, and two councillors from the Kāpiti Coast District Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Paraparaumu Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I am passionate about Paraparaumu and the Kāpiti region. I live with my wife and our pre and school-aged children, close to my mother, who is a 50-year Paraparaumu resident and senior citizen. I was born at Paraparaumu hospital and grew up in Kāpiti, attending Paraparaumu College before venturing overseas. I returned to Paraparaumu six years ago, knowing there is no better place to raise my family.

About me

I will advocate for and ensure that all of our community's voice is heard, from our youth to our senior citizens.

My priorities
  1. Engaging with, listening to and reporting back to Paraparaumu.
  2. Stop any additional spending on Te Uruhi/the Kāpiti Gateway, cost of over $7.8 million is far too high.
  3. Fighting for affordable rates and ensuring that Kāpiti Coast District Council's expenditure is beneficial and accountable.
