Why I'm standing

I am standing for the Rodney Local Board because I believe Wellsford needs fresh representation. I am concerned that Wellsford is not adequately represented at a local board level, and this is impacting the community's ability to get much-needed projects and funding approved by Auckland Council. I know that I can make a huge difference to our area, and have already done so in a voluntary capacity.

About me

I have a demonstrated history of working with established and emerging community groups, and am dedicated to rebuilding relationships and getting the Rodney Board working for our community. My procurement skills mean I understand large budgets, tenders, contracts and more. I can analyse these effectively to see where improvements can be made. I have solid negotiation skills, excellent computer and information technology skills and am naturally energetic, enthusiastic and positive.

My priorities
  1. Roading: North Rodney is facing unprecedented population growth, we need to future-proof to cope.
  2. Local business: the new motorway is planned east of Wellsford and we need to plan for this change.
  3. Our local environment: we need to protect our beaches, waterways, sand island and our wildlife.
