Work with Waka Kotahi to address the large trucks going through the main streets of the three towns. Relook at a bypass option.

Address roading issues on the coast. Consult with the communities on the coast, about other ways to access their community.
Work with Waka Kotahi to decrease the speed limit through town, and have 50km zone extended past residential area.
Investigate moving to smaller, electric buses that can travel more frequently between towns, and facilitate car-sharing options.
Work with KiwiRail to increase the number of commuter trains as well as more trains from Wellington over the weekends.
Take advantage of the 5 Towns Cycleway to encourage the use of bicycles for locals to commute between the towns.
Improve street lighting and footpaths in the Featherston area. Some parts of town are inaccessible to wheelchairs, prams, mobility vehicles.
Build a third zebra crossing south of the corner of Fitzherbert Street and Wakefield Street.
Review construction of new footpaths and set a schedule of work that see footpaths completed without adding further burden to ratepayers.
Review the process, procedure and timeline for repairs to pot holes and other road degradation.
