Why I'm standing

My life's guide is service before self, a legacy of my parent's values. I joined the NZ Army at 17 and spent 25 years in the military, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. This was followed by 7 years as a complex environment specialist, a job that helps countries that have undergone conflict rebuild their nation. On my return I have directed my skills to disaster relief management in the South Pacific.

About me

My life has been about making decisions and making the 'hard right over the easy' and I have a compassion to live the life I wanted in the Banks Peninsula of natural beauty and vision of our earth mother to live in harmony.

My priorities
  1. Speed up council decision making and reduce rates.
  2. Get companion dogs on buses.
  3. Get our water back to the world class level it was.
Before politics
