Waikato District Council

Huntly General Ward
The Waikato District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 13 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). One councillor will be elected from the Huntly General ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Waikato District Council election.

Why I'm standing

I love Huntly and would like to see it blessed. We have so much potential as a town and would like to play a part in making this town a better place.

About me

I have the ability to keep locals informed about what is happening and help them engage with the council. I'm quick at learning new things and understanding the challenges and problems, excellent at listening and creative problem solving.

My priorities
  1. Sorting out the service request system so that locals can get issues fixed.
  2. Contractors and services provided to the town should be held to a consistently high standard.
  3. Footpaths should be high quality/useable complete and connecting places.
