Why I'm standing

Mahatma Gandhi said "be the change you wish to see in the world," and our communities have said they're ready for change. I am standing for council because I want to be someone who steps up and leads that change we all want. I want to help create a better and more sustainable future for my son, and for all of our next generation and bring common sense back to the council table.

About me

I went to school here in Waiterimu and then Orini and I helped organise the annual A and P show, Christmas and Anzac Parade in Te Kauwhata. I know our communities and I believe in them. I am aspirational and ambitious for them. I hold strong core values and beliefs, and these ground me in my principles. All of this, I will bring with me and will use it to guide me as your councillor and representative.

My priorities
  1. Review council's accounts, paying attention to wasteful spending and plans for paying off council debt
  2. Connectivity – Open the Te Kauwhata train station and fix digital coverage access.
  3. Develop integrated approaches to reduce emissions, increase biodiversity and improve water quality.
