Why I'm standing

I am proud to be from Whāingaroa/Raglan, I am a passionate advocate for our community and I am eager to continue to serve. I want to create more opportunities for community led decision making by working collaboratively with hapū, key organisations, stakeholders and our community. I bring my knowledge and experience from the past two terms as councillor and also my experience previously on the community board.

About me

I bring seven and a half years of experience and knowledge to the work of council as I have served two terms as councillor and one and a half years as an elected community board member. I work collaboratively and recognise that relationship building based on trust and demonstrated outcomes are important to achieve more for our communities. I am an active member of our community. I participate and, rather than see problems, I see opportunities and solutions.

My priorities
  1. Ensure we provide services to our communities that are fit for purpose and delivered on time.
  2. Climate action and mitigation – we need to take action to ensure the wellbeing of our environment.
  3. Promote participatory democracy in communities to increase trust in local government.
