Why I'm standing

I am concerned my region is missing out on representation and there is a need to strengthen relationships with district council to build economic growth and jobs and provide services that will make the Thames Coromandel a better place to live while also preparing our district for the future.

About me

I have lived and run an electrical contracting business in Tairua for the last 30 years. I have been President of the Tairua Pauanui Sports Fishing Club for the last nine years, and I am currently Vice President of the NZ Sports Fishing Council. Governance and policy are a big part of my life and I see Waikato Regional Councillor as a natural progression of my involvement in our community.

My priorities
  1. Strengthen relationships with district council to promote a better outcome for our communities.
  2. Continued access to our harbours, beaches and ocean environment for fishing and recreation.
  3. Community input and communication, making sure I know what is important to my community.
