Why I'm standing

I see so many issues with the direction that we are being forced or coerced into participating in against our common good. CO2 is the bogyman but we will die from lack of oxygen long before CO2 is corrected. We need so much more oxygen producing plants. When one Jumbo jet consumes four litres a second and takes over 200 tons of fuel for one long haul flight how many trees to offset that?

About me

I am a carpenter by trade and ended up working on house piling where many engineers completely trusted my work I had done and the records kept. I believe in honesty and fairness and some years back took up cricket umpiring as I know what it is like to disbelieve in player umpires. I believe we need think our elected officials are honest and trustworthy and bring wisdom while putting aside self interest.

My priorities
  1. Do no harm, and especially to the environment. The need for oxygen.
  2. Secure river stopbanks and eastern assets from tsunami, stop the clear felling of sand dune pines.
  3. Three Waters, but with this out of control central government this could prove difficult.
