The Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Christchurch City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. Why I'm standing
I value a connected community that cares for all of its members – to support this I've been running Think Papanui for the past six years and have been a community board member for three. I am passionate about contributing to Papanui and am grateful for the opportunity for a second term on the community board.
About me
I am responsible and diligent, and I have a track record on the Community Board and in other governance roles. I have an eye for detail and enjoy working on strategy. An elected position in local government is the perfect way to bring these skills and values together.
My priorities
- Further increase community board communication and engagement with the local community.
- Provide travel options that reduce dependence on single-occupant fossil-fuelled vehicles.
- Support a functioning and safe traffic network, with a focus on growth areas in Papanui.
