The Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Christchurch City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of nine members: six members elected by voters, including two members from your area, and three councillors from the Christchurch City council.     Call on the locals to help eradicate pests and encourage the planting of native shrubs and trees this will need some training and support.

    Encourage the buying of products with less packaging and reward initiatives to cut waste before it gets to the consumer.

  • Clean up local waterways and seek to reverse worsening levels of harmful elements and bacteria.
