Why I'm standing

West Coast has opportunities for improvement in resilience and to create areas for considered growth and development through the new Te Tai o Poutini Plan. At a governance level I can help implement changes.

About me

Many years managed West Coast infrastructure (roads, bridges and Three Waters). Chaired regional road safety, rural fire and life-line utility committees. Past member of TAG for Land Transport Committee. Board of Trustees elected representative, Greymouth High School (five years). Training in science (geography), civil engineering, business admin and making good decisions (MfE) which will add value to informed discussion at a governance level.

My priorities
  1. New council, establish collegial working relationships with all representatives and the chief executive.
  2. LTP 2021-31 in place. Status report on what needs to be put in place to make it happen.
  3. On the horizon, what is coming up what do we need to do now to prepare for likely future changes.
