Why I'm standing

I raise my hands to say 'I can help'. Ensuring that benefits of change are fair and just. It has a lens of equality that only our communities know and understand. To become a voice of reason and understanding, to communicate out effectively that is clear and transparent.

About me

There are many 'titles' that I hold but only one that knows no boundaries. Manaaki tētahi ki tētahi – caring each for the other. Using old values like listening and observing. What am I hearing? What is being seen? Processing the concerns, doing the homework, the research, engaging with relevant parties, internal and external. Navigating a space that can be foreign, and being able to embrace it.

My priorities
  1. Investigate road diversions and bridge infrastructure to mitigate impact on rural townships.
  2. Work collaboratively with iwi and HEPS to protect our environment, flora and fauna.
  3. Supporting communities to a mind shift of ground roots adaptability to climate change.
