Why I'm standing

I'm committed to a nation that cares deeply for our people, as well as our planet, and Labour has strongly demonstrated its focus on both. I'm committed to ensuring all members of our community feel they belong, can actively participate, and can reach their full potential. That's why I'm seeking another term as New Plymouth's MP so I can continue working to achieve this.

About me

I've been a long-term advocate and community champion for the people of New Plymouth and Taranaki. Working across social and business enterprise, restorative justice, community development and youth support. As well as helping the region create our plan for its future, as a facilitator for the Taranaki 2050 Roadmap. This work has embedded my deep connection to our community, using my skills of active listening and bridge building to advocate for our region.

My priorities
  1. Continue to build more houses, so that everyone has a place to call home.
  2. Take a lead on our just transition to a low carbon, renewable energy province.
  3. Work with WITT/Te Pūkenga to ensure that training and education is accessible to everyone.
