The New Conservative Party is a traditionalist conservative party. It was founded in 2011 as the Conservative Party but rebranded after the 2017 election. The party is socially and economically conservative and has campaigned on specific issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage. The party has never been in parliament but had two candidates elected to Auckland’s Upper Harbour Local Board in 2013.
