Why I'm standing
After losing my husband 14 years ago, I learned very quickly why he fought so tirelessly for equality, as a local-regional councillor, principal. As a single working mother I realised it was now my responsibility to stand up to injustices that faced my family, friends, city and nation. I believe I have the courage, heart and skills to make our city and nation a better place. Where all Kiwis can flourish.
About me
Like many I call Rotorua my home. I have stood as a candidate in last years general election, as well as this years local body election showing my commitment to the city and nation we love. I've only recently been appointed as a candidate for the NewZeal party lead by Hon. Alfred Ngaro (former National MP for nine years). I have governance, leadership skills as well as connectivity to our local community to bring about real change.
My priorities
- Cost of living: reduce restrictions on farmers so that food costs can come down. Affordable homes.
- Make our city safe: working with our community to create a positive proactive city to live in.
- Uphold freedoms: non-fluoridated water, free speech, innovative education, lifting all mandates.
