Te Atatū electorate
Te Atatū runs from the Te Atatū Peninsula in the north to Henderson in the south, and includes Te Atatū South, Ranui and Swanson. The seat is currently held by Labour's Phil Twyford, who won safely with a margin of 10,508. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Te Atatū – 58% to National's 23%. With the exception of 1990 to 1996 the area has been represented by Labour MPs since 1978.

Why I'm standing
I want our country, and the communities I represent in West Auckland, to give everyone the best possible opportunity to do well in life. That means investing in the things we do together: our public health and education systems, safe streets, affordable warm dry homes, and a clean environment, so that people can then use their own talents and hard work to get ahead.
About me
I am an experienced lawmaker at Parliament, and local MP. I care, I work hard, and I use my influence and connections to get things done for the communities I represent in West Auckland. My work advocating for our people since the Anniversary Weekend floods is an example of how I work. I made sure local voices were heard, and lobbied hard for the needs of my constituents.
My priorities
- Continue to secure the investment in infrastructure West Auckland needs especially the Northwestern Busway.
- Secure timely, fair and sustainable solutions for Westies suffering in the aftermath of the floods.
- Continue investment in Waitakere Hospital, extra police on the beat, and investment in our schools.
