Why I'm standing

I believe that kiwis want a better and fairer system for tax. We want to fund core services in health, education and law and remove the burden from the tax on those working. In the rural sector we want to have recognition for the good work done and rewards for long term investment in environmental outcomes.

About me

My electorate is physically large with a diverse mix of urban and rural communities. I believe my background in manufacturing, supply chain, product development and dairy farming gives me a unique ability to relate to those I would represent. In farming we look long term - generationally. This is an approach I would take rather than following a fad set by opinion polls.

My priorities
  1. Deliver differences to take home pay (15K tax free) so folks can make choices on how/where to spend.
  2. Trust our agri-sector and reward them for guardianship and long-term investment in our environmental outcomes.
  3. Change the tax system so people earn more than property. Fund core services such as health and education.
