Why I'm standing

I believe Auckland is the best city in the world - in ten years time, and only if we make the right decisions. I believe we're not doing enough to prepare for the environmental climate we're driving towards, and I want to change that. I believe we're not doing enough to ensure our streets are safe for our kids, pedestrians and cyclists and I want to change that.

About me

I was part of the group that stopped AT from removing the Western Springs pōhutukawas, organised a protest against Brian Tamaki's political rally, worked for a decade to try to get traffic calming put into Point Chevalier, worked for almost as long to rid local reserves of weeds, I was chair of the trust that put cinema onto Waiheke Island. Candidates should show a history of working to create better things for the community.

My priorities
  1. See our streets made safer for everyone – our kids, our pedestrians and our cyclists.
  2. Ensure green spaces and street trees are protected and increased in number.
  3. Support our local community organisations and people doing good works amongst us.
