Why I'm standing

Having well and truly put down roots in Kerikeri, I'm standing for the Community Board to help shape the future of the town I now call home. I'm invested in ensuring Kerikeri grows in an efficient, sustainable way that reflects its unique character. I want to contribute to a thriving community that looks after its people - young and old, long-time locals and newcomers - so that everyone can feel proud to call Kerikeri home.

About me

I bring strong experience in facilitating group discussions and guiding collaborative decision-making. My current work in community development and engagement with Māori communities ensures inclusive and respectful approaches and solutions. With a solid foundation in project management, grant writing and governance (in both public and private contexts), I understand how to get things done and navigate complex systems. I'm committed to working constructively to serve Kerikeri's diverse community and help shape a positive, prosperous future.

My priorities
  1. Get to know the community, listening first by meeting locals and learning what matters to the community.
  2. Ensure inclusive public spaces with more seating, bins and water fountains, particularly around parks.
  3. Support a vibrant summer through a public events calendar to bring energy, life and business to the town.
