Mauao Māori Constituency
The Bay of Plenty Regional Council makes decisions about managing resources in the region, such as air, water, soil and the coastline. It also carries out plant and pest control, helps prepare for natural disasters, and is involved in regional transport. The council is made up of 14 councillors. Councillors are elected to represent constituencies (areas in the region). one councillor will be elected from the Mauao Māori constituency. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. My life has been grounded in advocacy, whānau values, and standing up for those unheard. From the rugby field to governance boards, I've shown strength, resilience, and unity. I understand our history and work tirelessly to build a future where our mokopuna thrive. I'm ready to serve, listen, and lead with integrity, heart, and collective purpose.

  1. Introduce incentive schemes that value environmental protection and sustainability actions.
  2. Invest in infrastructure that connects communities and creates sustainable, accessible transport.
  3. Prioritise the taiao over profit, ensuring sustainability over profit-driven decisions every time.
