Why I'm standing

I love Central Otago and it always brings me home from wherever I have travelled. I cannot turn my back on my home because it needs care at this point in time. I believe I can make a difference and I am going to try.

About me

I worked in CODC for ten years in records, first as admin and then as a fully qualified records, archives and information person. I am about information. I believe that information makes the world go round and I want to see all CODC residents and ratepayers fully informed instead of the piecemeal tidbits they are given today. I cannot make a decision if I am not informed.

My priorities
  1. Decrease rates by limiting unnecessary spending.
  2. Provide information for transparency and accountability.
  3. Establish a neutral advocacy for investigating complaints from the public against council officials.
