Why I'm standing

I am running because I care about our community and want to make sure it is a place where everyone feels included and looked after. I believe we have some great things going, but also some challenges to sort out. I believe that with good leadership and listening to people, we can make decisions that really work for everyone. I want to make sure all voices are heard, especially those who do not usually get a say.

About me

I have lived in Christchurch for 20 years, including more than 15 years in the Cashmere Ward. I have spent many years advocating for those without a voice and have a background in government and not for profits. I understand how to navigate complex systems to achieve real results. These experiences have also made me appreciate how crucial it is to make every dollar count.

My priorities
  1. Focus on action on climate change, helping communities prepare and adapt to climate change.
  2. Enable communities to participate meaningfully in the decisions that affect them.
  3. Improve the frequency, quality, safety and carbon footprint of public transport.
